February 2023 The School Age Site Coordinator collaborates with the School Age Administrator to deliver positive youth programming for the Before and After School site, serving students in Kindergarten-12 years old.
This includes overseeing staff, ensuring site quality, and working with families to support their student success.
Essential Functions Research and implement a strong curricula and enrichment program for after school.
Recruit students for assigned site Maintain and increase program enrollment and student attendance Coordinate all program activities and schedules Maintain active school and community partnerships for sustainability of program success Work closely with the Data and Enrollment Coordinator to follow up on parent balances Communicate effectively with families to address questions and concerns Ensure program fidelity to Regulations presented by the Office of Child Care Licensing and Delaware Stars Work with DE STARS technical assistant to increase quality improvement efforts Maintain staff files in accordance with Office of Child Care Licensing Oversee staff credentialing process with DEEDS 3.
0 Complete monthly, quarterly and annual program reports as required Work with YD Administration Specialist to collect and interpret report card data quarterly Encourage family engagement through program events and initiatives Participate in department, agency, and program meetings Collaborate with School Age Team to conduct 10 week Summer Camp Fill in at other sites in the absence of the assigned school age site coordinator Promote the safety and well-being of youth Supervise program staff (YD Teachers, School Age Interns and volunteers) and fill in for them in their absence Support Data & Enrollment Coordinator in maintenance of student and program records Assist Youth Development Assistant Director to recruit, onboard, and train qualified staff
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in related area.
Licenses/Certifications Required:
Driver's License required for travel to multiple sites, must have or be eligible for the School Age Site Coordinator certificate through Office of Child Care Licensing 2 years' experience in youth programs, specifically with the school age population, and in a supervisory/management role in a related field.
Must be fully vaccinated, including booster against COVID-19 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bilingual in Spanish / English preferred Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) required.
Ability to handle staff conflicts and performance concerns in a fair and diplomatic manner.
Ability to lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with agency values.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Possess strong written communication skills.
Successfully complete fingerprinting and criminal history check.
Experience with program and grant management.
